Driver comments after Hyperpole at 6 Hours of Spa

    Spa-Francorchamps 09 maggio 2025

The two Ferrari 296 LMGT3s fielded by Vista AF Corse will start fifth and seventh on the grid for the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, which begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, 10 May, at the iconic Belgian circuit nestled in the Ardennes forest. The number 54 car will line up on the third row after excellent work by Thomas Flohr and Francesco Castellacci, alongside Ferrari official driver Davide Rigon. The number 21 sister car of François Heriau, Simon Mann and official driver Alessio Rovera will start seventh, having set the fastest time in the Bronze-driver qualifying session.

Francesco Castellacci, 296 LMGT3 #54: “We’re pleased to have qualified in the top five. It’s a good starting position, especially for Thomas Flohr, who will benefit tomorrow from the pace of the fastest group of drivers. Tyre management will be crucial, as we know degradation will be significant. The goal for the race is to score as many points as possible and finish in the top five, hopefully on the podium.

Simon Mann, 296 LMGT3 #21“Qualifying wasn’t bad. The car felt well-balanced thanks to the team’s excellent work. I made a small mistake that led to a track limits infringement, and my best lap was deleted. Otherwise, we could have started further up the grid, but it’s a long race, and we’re confident we can do well.”
