Driver comments after 6 Hours of Spa

    Spa-Francorchamps 11 maggio 2025

The 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, round three of the FIA World Endurance Championship season, saw the Ferrari 296 LMGT3s claim a victory and a podium finish. The number 21 crew of official driver Alessio Rovera, Simon Mann and François Heriau won, while the number 54 trio of Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and official driver Davide Rigon secured third place.

François Heriau, 296 LMGT3 #21: “We knew we had a great car here, and our strategy was to manage tyre wear carefully to hand over the 296 LMGT3 to Alessio in the best possible condition for the final stint. We picked up a few penalties, but despite that, we stayed in contention for the front and put together a brilliant result.”

Alessio Rovera, 296 LMGT3 #21: “I climbed into the car in seventh, with four fresh tyres, and I knew I had to push to make up ground. The car was excellent and allowed me to give my all in both stints. In the final stint, with the tyres still in good shape, it was fantastic to drive the 296 LMGT3 on a track like Spa – a circuit I really enjoy, which has brought me some of my best moments in the past, including the win in 2023 with the 488 GTE.”

Davide Rigon, 296 LMGT3 #54: “It was a positive race that delivered a good result that we’re pleased with, and that allowed me to lead for about an hour. Unfortunately, an early contact with another car slightly compromised our aerodynamics, so we didn’t have the pace to fight for the win. Still, we secured our first podium of the season, the best result we could manage. Now we look ahead to the 24 Hours of Le Mans with confidence.”
