    Ferrari 296 LMGT3s on track at SPA

    Spa, 8 May 2025 - The 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps weekend – round three of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship – kicked off today with the opening two free practice sessions. The two Ferrari 296 LMGT3s entered by Vista AF Corse completed a total of 115 laps. 

    FP1. The morning session ran for 90 minutes in dry conditions, with cool air and track temperatures of 13°C and 26°C, respectively. The fastest Ferrari was car number 21, piloted by official driver Alessio Rovera, François Heriau and Simon Mann. The crew set the second-fastest time of the session with a best lap of 2:18.528, just 0.096 seconds behind the leader, the Lexus number 78. Car number 54, crewed by official driver Davide Rigon, Thomas Flohr and Francesco Castellacci, placed 13th with a best time of 2:20.526.

    FP2. The second session began with a red flag after Antonio Giovinazzi went off track at Eau Rouge – fortunately without consequences for the Italian driver, fresh from his victory at the 6 Hours of Imola. The session saw two further red flags and ran in weather conditions similar to the morning. At the chequered flag, the Ferrari crews posted the third and seventh fastest times, set by car numbers 54 and 21, respectively. 

    The programme. On Friday, 9 May, a third free practice session will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by LMGT3 qualifying at 2.40 p.m. and the Hyperpole session at 3.03 p.m. The race will kick off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, 10 May (local time).
