Maranello 30 March 2026

The AF Corse USA Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo secured the Am class victory in the opening round of GT World Challenge America at Sonoma Raceway, with the same team also celebrating second place overall and in the Pro class with its sister car.
The Prancing Horse also claimed three runner-up finishes in GT America, which opened its season at the same Californian circuit.

The GT World Challenge Australia also kicked off at Phillip Island, with second place overall as Ferrari’s best result.

GT World Challenge America.  The number 12 AF Corse USA Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo secured a convincing second place overall in the opening round of the championship, which at Sonoma introduced a new format featuring a single three-hour endurance race. The pairing of Matias Perez Companc and Frederik Schandorff in the Pro class delivered a consistent performance, remaining among the front-runners throughout and steadily consolidating second place as the race progressed.
Victory in the Am class went to the other AF Corse USA car, the number 163, with Jay Schreibman and Oswaldo Negri delivering a flawless performance at consistently strong pace.  “The car was really well set up,” said Negri. “We had incredible pace, especially towards the end of the race. I think I only did one lap above 1’35. I also want to thank Jay: he has made a huge step forward since last year, and I couldn’t ask for more from him.”

Schreibman added: “I can’t wait for COTA. Today was fun. We had a small issue, but the team did an outstanding job.”

The next round at Circuit of The Americas is scheduled from 24 to 26 April.

GT America.  The opening round of the championship, with the first two 40-minute races at Sonoma Raceway, concluded with a second place in the SR03 class and two podium finishes in the Cup class. Canadian driver Marc Muzzo, in the number 13 R.Ferri Motorsport Ferrari 296 GT3, finished behind the winner in Race-1 after a convincing performance that kept him among the front-runners throughout. Race-2 was less fortunate, although he still finished sixth after a series of contacts that slowed his progress.
In Race-1, Tony Davis secured sixth place at the wheel of the number 04 HP-TECH Motorsport Ferrari 296 GT3 after an excellent comeback drive, going on to finish eighth in Race-2. Thor Haugen, in the number 23 Scuderia Corsa Ferrari 296 GT3 Evo, finished eighth in Race-1 and did not take part in the second race.

In the Cup class, Yousuf Nabi secured two second place finishes in the number 3 Gotham Motorsports Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo.

The championship now heads to COTA for the second event, scheduled from 24 to 26 April.

GT World Challenge Australia. The best result for the Maranello Manufacturer in the opening round of the championship at Phillip Island came from the number 26 ARGT Ferrari 296 GT3, which secured second place in Race-2. Jaxon Evans and Elliot Schutte had also crossed the line second in Race-1, but a penalty dropped them to fifth.

Cameron Campbell and Josh Buchan finished fifth in Race-2 and thirteenth in Race-1 in the number 23 Zagame Autosport Ferrari 296 GT3. The third Ferrari entered in the event, the number 181 OnlyFans Racing Ferrari 296 GT3 with Renee Gracie and William Davison, was seventh across the line in Race-1 and retired after five laps in Race-2.

The next round of the series is scheduled from 8 to 10 May at the GT Festival The Bend.
