Weekend preview: in Malaysia for the Super GT Japan

The Super GT Japan heads beyond its national borders for the third round of the season at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia.

Super GT Japan. After a break of around two months, the Super GT Japan returns for its third round held at the Sepang circuit coinciding with the Super GT Malaysia Festival. The circuit once again hosts a leg of the Japanese series after a long absence (its first appearance dates back to 2013).

Two Ferrari 296 GT3s appear on the entry list in the GT300 class, starting with the number 6 fielded by UNI-ROBO Bluegrass with Yoshiaki Katayama and Roberto Merhi Muntan, who claimed their first win of the season in the previous leg at Fuji. The second car from the Prancing Horse manufacturer, the number 45, will be driven by drivers Kei Cozzolino and Takuro Shinohara for Ponos Racing, following their fourth-place finish in round two. The round will take place on Friday, 27 and Saturday, 28 June.
