With six hours remaining in the iconic endurance race, the best-placed Maranello entry is the number 21 Vista AF Corse car, which lies second with 254 laps completed – just 1 minute and 797 milliseconds behind the leaders – thanks to impressive stints from François Heriau, Simon Mann and official driver Alessio Rovera.
Two more Prancing Horse entries are in the top ten, including the number 150 Richard Mille AF Corse car, where rookies Riccardo Agostini and Custodio Toledo have performed well alongside factory driver Lilou Wadoux.
The number 57 Kessel Racing entry follows close behind, piloted by official driver Daniel Serra, Takeshi Kimura and Casper Stevenson.
Ziggo Sport Tempesta’s number 193 Ferrari lies in sixteenth place, with Jonathan Hui, Christopher Froggatt and Eddie Cheever III sharing driving duties.
However, as dawn broke, the number 54 car of Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and official driver Davide Rigon was forced to retire due to a technical problem. The replacement operation took over half an hour, prompting the Vista AF Corse team to retire the car.
