DRIVERS’ QUOTES AFTER THE 6 HOURS OF FUJI

Fuji 28 September 2025

The penultimate round of the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship ended with second and sixth place finishes for the Vista AF Corse Ferrari 296 LMGT3 entries. François Heriau, Simon Mann and factory driver Alessio Rovera closed the gap to the top of the standings with their third podium of the season, while Thomas Flohr, Francesco Castellacci and Davide Rigon secured a solid result.

Alessio Rovera, 296 LMGT3 #21: “We knew it was going to be a very tough weekend with close battles against the entire field. At this stage of the season, every thousandth of a second can make the difference. This second place is valuable for us, but we really missed out on the win by the smallest margin, a victory we had effectively earned on track. It’s a shame to see it slip away, but at least we achieved our minimum goal of scoring crucial points in the championship and closing the gap to the top. Now everything will come down to Bahrain, where we’ll need to be perfect because the only thing that matters there will be finishing ahead.”

Simon Mann, 296 LMGT3 #21: “It was a good race, finished with a podium. We crossed the line first but lost the win due to a pit stop infringement. The whole team worked really well, and we managed to close the gap to our championship rivals. Now our full focus is on Bahrain.”

Davide Rigon, 296 LMGT3 #54: “My teammates did a great job in their stints, recovering positions after a difficult start. Unfortunately, a Virtual Safety Car at the wrong time cost us and I found myself far back, but I had fun fighting back with a lot of overtakes. I knew tyre and fuel management would be key and I tried to avoid the final splash-and-dash, but it wasn’t possible. I still want to thank the whole team for the excellent work.”
